Vista unable to handle folders with large files.

hello people ive been haveing a problem with vista were large files (so far
3GB to 40GB) couse windows explorer to become non-responsive this is
EXTREMELY annoying!! i can't even access my large files for even 10 seconds
without windows becomeing non-responsive!. does anyone know anything about a
problem like this or a sloution i only have this problem in vista (i got XP
on my 2nd partition) can anyone plez help me or give me any insight on this
extremely annoying problem?

I have no similar problem and have a number of folders with huge ISO files
in them. Is it possible that something running on your system - antivirus,
for example, which may be set to scan all files upon access - could be
causing it for you?

hmm you know that sounds like a good idea becouse i think that my anti-virus
does that so ill chech it out.
