Hey all, i recently installed Vista Ult, i put in the key at setup; but when
i go into the welcome center it says i have 2 days to validate. When i click
on validate, it says i need to purchase another key.

I have installed Vista twice on my computer, once on different hard drives,
because i replace my mobo and my old hardrives where causing conflicts so i
installed vista on my storage drives, so i could format my regular drives,
then formatted my vista insstallation and my storage drives, and put it on my
regular drives.

Please don't tell me i'm going to have to buy another version of windows.
This is pretty rediculus, i should be able to install it as many times as i
want on my PC.

Just don't want to get home tomorow and find out i can't boot into windows.

Thanks all

You may be prompted to activate Windows Vista on a computer on which
Windows Vista activation was not previously required

I've already installed that update, windows did automatically.

Is this maybe because i installed windows on my other hard drives? it's
thinking it's a totally different PC? it says that the product key is already
in use. So how do i clear Microsoft's system of that product key? It's not
like I've installed it on a different machine, and i would hope Microsoft
wouldn't make it to where a simple HDD or any other hardware update would
make you buy a new product key.

I you have made major hardware changes you will have to call Microsoft and
talk to them. They can fix you up, I had to do the same thing. 1-800-microsoft
