I installed Vista onto my HP xw4100 last night. I like the graphics and most
of the features but there is one that I simply hate and I feel insulted
because of it.
You know what I'm talking about: User Account Control
On my computer I have Alcohol 120% installed, the reason for this is that a
couple of my PC games (Midtown Madness 1 & 2) are ran from old disks. So I
used Alcohol to make an image and emulate Safedisk. Everytime I want to play
any (and I mean any of my games, even ones I've made in C#), I get asked by
UAC whether or not I want it to run. I mean I clicked on it so yes I want it
to run you ^&%^&%! OS! And if I want to disable UAC (which I did) I get
another annoying message saying "UAC is not enabled! This is a security risk!"
Thank you for listening to my rant. (It's probably not the first, sory about
the expletive, I'm mad)
