Vista RTM on a 2003 domain, no DHCP, unidentified network

Just updated an XP domain client to Vista Ultimate RTM. My problem is
that every time I reboot, my nic won't get an IP. It constantly says
"Unidentified Network". After 5-10 minutes of random twiddling, it will
start working again. When I say "random twiddling" I mean disabling the
adapter, doing repairs, changing the network type from public to
private. There is no rhyme or reason for what makes it work, it just
eventually starts working and identifies the domain. I did find one
semi-solution. If I manually set my IP, it will identify the network
until I reboot. Once I reboot, it won't identify it until I set it back
to DHCP and then manually set them again. Pretty weird problem...
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.
