I don't know about Sonic Systems, but I suspect the concerns about Roxio are
based partially on history. Roxio has a long and sordid history of not being
able to properly adapt their burn software to new versions of Windows, then
attempting to blame Microsoft for the problems (sometimes catastrophic)
their software causes. A search through Google Groups should provide you
with some interesting insights

I use Roxio Easy CD Creator Version 6 on Vista without issues.
Have used it to burn various types of disks and never once "Made
a Coaster". It (Easy CD) has all the latest patches applied to it.
I prefer it over newer burning packages that contain way too much
fluff and exotic features I don't need.

For me the Roxio (Easy Media Creator 7.5) stuff works, the stuff Roxio adds
from Sonic does not.
