Vista RC1 hangs on boot up

I just installed Vista RC1 last night, and I cannot get it to boot up
correctly. I've installed it on a completely clean hard disk, and it hangs on
the boot screen where the green bars are moving across the bottom of the
screen. The bars stop moving and that's it - it doesn't go any further. I've
tried booting in safe mode, and that doesn't work either. The last driver
that it shows it loaded in safe mode bootup before crashing is crcdrive.sys.

I've got a Toshiba Satellite M40 laptop computer. 1.6GHz Centrino processor,
nVidia GeForce Go 6600 PCIe video card, 512MB memory. Any suggestions would
be appreciated Thanks.

There is a problem with the pcmcia drivers on the M40. If you don't use a
pcmcia card you can delete the drivers:-

Boot up from dvd
Choose "Repair" option and "Command" (or CLI?) - last option on the menu.
From there you can delete or rename the pcmcia.sys in
[Vista drive]:\windows\system32\drivers
[Vista drive]:\windows\system32\driverstore\filerepository\pcmcia.inf_539553e

and it should now boot up correctly.
