vista rc1 fails after memory upgrade,

Hi,
instaled vista RC1 64bit on seprate partition to windows xphome 32bit to
create a duel operating system,
everything worked fine to begin with but i only had 1gig of memory
500meg x2 in two slots and i noticed vista was using at least two thirds of
it so i purchased an extra 2 gig of memory (2x 1g pc3200 ddr) and instaled in
the second bank
now xp is fantastic but vista keeps failling (blue screen Memory error)
run memory magement tool , no problems, but still fails
updated bios no fix there.
formated partition and tried to re instal vista, halfway through install
same problem,
every time
any sugestion?

my system is
Ecs K8 ht2000 nFORCE4-A939 Mother board
Atholon 64X2 Dual processor 4200+
2x pc3200 ddr 500mb memory
2x pc3200 ddr 1gb memory in two banks

many thanks Silver-stream

Try swapping the memory to the other banks. The 2 1gig to the original
banks that had the 512. If that doesn't solve it, you may still have bad
memory. Many memory testers don't test the way 64-bit uses memory. Has
been a problem for those using XP x64 and many found the memory just
wouldn't support the 64-bit addressing properly.

hi swaped them around and still no good,
memory came from crucial and was one3 type out of only 4 that was recomended
for my motherboard so dont know what else to try hopefully this will get
sorted by the time vista finaly gets released but until then im welcome to
more sugestions my try contacting crucial though!
