Finally figured out my son's printer issue. (Wasn't plugged into back of
computer.)
So far, I am not thrilled with Vista. I am in the market soon for a laptop
and will probably get one with XP if I can. Vista is supposed to be great
but it is not as easy to follow as XP. Of course I am not young and do not
learn as easily and quickly. I do know my son (13 years) is not keen and has
problems I have yet to address.

I've been using Vista for about two weeks now after having used XP. At this
point I am getting to really like it - at first I wasn't too pleased as old
habits don't die easily with me. Still don't and never will like the
numerous warning dialogs that appear but I am starting to prefer Vista.

Regards
Chris Saunders

Old habits are not hard to die, if the new habit is better and easier.
Usually when confronted with a well deigned thing, the adaptation is swift
and easy.
Think of a new car.. you may need 1 day to get used to it.. but it will be
swift and easy and enjoyable...

VERY FAR FROM GETTING USED TO VISTA! lol

Congratulations you just have a new terrible bad habit you forced yourself
to obtain> VISTA

So shall we call you a vista addict now? What happens when you go to a XP
machine? Perhaps you don't like it? Feel some withdrawal symptoms from
Vista?

THEN YES BY GEORGE YOU ARE ADDICTED. :-)

Just another self-serving statement. I guess it confirms both your
limited mental capacity (you keep repeating the same tired old crap)
and willingness to sing long with other fanboys and just pretend Vista
has no issues. Of course you claim you don't do that. All fanboys
claim they don't do that, yet 90% or more of the noise is this
newsgroup comes from fanboys beating the drum for Microsoft.

It really boils down to those of us that have experienced problems
with Vista and reported them here that obviously annoys the crap out
of true blue fanboys because facts always conflict with pipe dreams
and fairy tales. Hell, you guys don't even like the term fanboys, yet
fanboys accurately describes what you are; fans of Microsoft no matter
what.

Problems? The standard response is always the same from fanboys: What
problems? Then if that isn't insulting enough fanboys move to the
second verse of the fanboy chant and may admit oh there are problems
but say they're all caused by improper/missing drivers or user error.
You then go into the third verse where fanboys admit yeah alright
there are problems, but quickly add all software has problems often
followed by some crude so what comment or the always distasteful if
you don't like it nobody forced you to update insult.

This same tune is repeated ad nauseam day after day by the same
handful of posters who fancy themselves expert on everything. Aside
from the obvious entertainment value of watching grown men act like
damn fools, it's a stale act. Instead of this newsgroup fulfilling
it's purpose of being a source of help, fanboys turn it into a circus
then get pissed off when anyone tells them to stop acting like clowns.

Oh no! Another stupid saying from capuin' crunch! Give it up already!
Usually when confronted with a well deigned thing, the adaptation is swift
and easy.

I've asked you a couple of times to let us know of your design
experience and education...otherwise all you offer is your personal
opinion...which appears to be at odds with the majority of Vista users.

If you just once paid attention you would notice every post I make is
fresh. I don't need to cut and paste the same crap. That's your
specialty.

DELL has some laptop and desktop systems available with xp - they also
have some with Ubuntu Linux preinstalled.

The Ubuntu blowhard chimes in again. Why aren't you over bothering the
Ubuntu group? Just FYI?

Is that in addition to the 90% noise you make beating the listen to me I am
crazy drum?

It reallt boils down to Adams incompetence and the fact that he is crazy and
needs to blame something else.

Adam is one of the most intelligent posters in here...

there is no doubt about that...

Show a little respect, you should be asking him for advice not making fun of
him.
