Vista oem

I'm looking to buy vista ultimate but all i can find online are oem's. I'm
looking to change my motherboard in the next year and have read that vista
will consider this to be a new computer so wont re-activate.
What are the rules on oem as certain sellers are telling me I'll be able to
re-install as many times as I want regardless off upgrades or if I buy a
completely new computer.

I am looking on ebay to buy from the us as thats the only place i can find
that will ship to England and they are all oem.

I'm after ultimate and not oem. I dont want to pay £360 when its £150 in
america thats why I'm looking on ebay. Unless someone knows a place in
america that will ship to England.

Won't yhou still have to pay VAT when it goes through customes?

About a 50/50 chance of customs bothering to open it and check. If they
do, you can figure on about 14% import duty at worst case (not sure if
software attracts that higher rate) plus VAT at 17.5%

Purchase Price £150.00
Shipping £ 25.00 (guess)
Total £175.00

Import Duty £ 24.50
VAT £ 30.63
Royal Mail Fees £ 10.00 (IIRC)

Total £240.00

So I recon it's probably worth the hassle...

But there's nowhere in america that will ship to the uk. Unless someone here
knows of somewhere. i've emailed the a lot of places and amazon.com have been
told not to ship outside of america. Don't want to give microsoft any more
than I actually have to

In that case, I'd wait a few weeks until people in the states start
shipping via eBay - but be very sure of what you're buying as you've got
little chance for recourse if there's something wrong (eg it's already
been installed and activated in the US).

I suspect it does it due to your IP, not your postal code. You used to
be able to buy everything in dollars but since the dollar has gotten so
weak, the vendors have gotten greedy and insist you pay in a real
currency like pounds or euros if you live in Europe and, in dollars,
it's more expensive than in the USA and they make more dollars from
European customers. I bet a Mexican can pay in dollars, not pesos,
though :)
