I got the kit and took it for a test drive. The Vista dvd in an OEM pack is
not a special OEM disk like it is with XP. It is the same dvd that is used
in retail editions. I just did an upgrade from XP Home to VHP using the
media and the OEM product key to prove it. Having had some experience with
XP cds that one surprised me. Now that I have seen it done I think I
understand why it had to be that way for Vista. Vista doesn't have a repair
install option.
