several months.
They are on the Microsoft news server, msnews.microsoft.com, and have names
beginning microsoft.public.windows.vista...
However there is (fortunately) no Vista newsgroup with a name like this
one--help_and_support. This newsgoup was designed for help with the Windows
XP "Help and Support" function, not for general help and support. However it
really never functioned as such, since its intended purpose has been almost
universally misunderstood.

They are on the Microsoft news server, msnews.microsoft.com, and have names
beginning microsoft.public.windows.vista...
However there is (fortunately) no Vista newsgroup with a name like this
one--help_and_support. This newsgoup was designed for help with the Windows
XP "Help and Support" function, not for general help and support. However it
really never functioned as such, since its intended purpose has been almost
universally misunderstood.
Ken, I'm using Agent Forte. Can I subscribe to the Microsoft News
Server as well as The Cox news server?

Fruit2O, sure you can. Just go to Tools / Servers and Accounts / In
the left pane, click on News Servers / click on New and add
msnews.microsoft.com in the host field. No login is required.

I haven't used Agent in many years, so I'm not completely sure. However
*most* newsreaders permit you to use multiple news servers. Personally I use
five different servers, and the ability to support multiple servers is one
of my criteria for choosing a newsreader. If Agent didn't permit it, I would
personally rule it out as a choice.
However, you might want to check the Cox server to see if it carries the
Microsoft newsgroups you want. Although I personally prefer to use the
Microsoft server, many of its newsgroups are propagated to other servers.
