Vista networking problem

N

NB222

I have a vista laptop that is wireless and an xp desktop that is wired to my
linksys router.
when both computers were xp I was able to wirelessly print and file share.
Now that I upgraded the laptop to Vista I am only able to recieve the
internet connection wirelessly on the laptop, also I am able to share an
iTunes Library between both computers. The xp desktop does show up in the
Vista network map but I cannot connect to it or share files or the printers
that are plugged into it. I have installed the LLTD on the xp computer and I
have checked the firewalls.
I have asked a lot of people about this and I am hoping to come up with
an answer from someone. I'm not sure if this is just Vista sucking or if
there is a solution.

Someone please reply
Thanks,

Check the NetBT setting on each computer - make sure it's Enabled.

Then look at logs from "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all", from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely (download browstat!):
