Vista menu

Hey guys. I just got my new pc today runnin windows vista and ive already
come across a problem . I tried installing Flight Sim x (which is meant to be
a "Games for windows" game) and it told me that the programme was suited for
Aero after changing the theme to Vista basic. Ive now gotten rid of flight
sim x and restored the Aero theme with the see through effects. However, when
ever i right click on an icon or if i click on anything which brings down a
menu, the colour is dull/gray as it was for Windows 2000 (no longer pale
white and blue). Ive tried everything to get it back including system restore
and changing my themes.. nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? thanks

Have you tried reapplying the default Vista theme?

- Right-click on desktop
- Click Personalize
- Click Theme
- Choose Windows Vista from theme drop-down menu
- Click Apply then OK

Oops, I seemed to have the end of your post where you explained that you had
tried reapplying the theme.

I've got Aero running here and all my menus are dull/gray, as you say... not
sure that I ever saw "see through" menus in Aero... if that's what you're
suggesting...
