I have a toshiba satellite laptop that is stuck in a continuous loop with the
windows update screen. It says donot shut down while updating 3 of 3 then it
shuts down and restarts at the same update over and over again.

Try tapping F8 at startup, and from the list of options, select Safe Mode, by
using UP Arrow Key, then hit Enter.
Then, do a System restore.
Click start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Once restored to before the problem, change auto updates to Notify you.
Then see what the problem update was.

While it is restarting, press F8 at the 'black screen' right after the Bios
screen, to select the 'Safe Mode With Command Prompt". Run the command in
this article.

Its prompting me for an administrator's password and we are putting it in

does not accept it. Any thoughts other than reinstalling the entire OS.
Thanks again
