vista keeps crashing

Hi

I have a brand new computer running windows vista home premium. After I
installed my Speedtouch 330 modem I get the BSOD. Does anyone know of a
compatibility issue with this modem? My ISP is Orange (Wanadoo) but they are
pretty hopeless at helping.

And is there a tool, like the upgrade advisor, I can run or a webpage I can
visit to see what programmes/drivers are or are not compatible?

Buy a hardware router with ADSL modem bulit-in, then connect computer to
it with standard ethernet cable. Best solution available, because no
driver is necessary and router provide increased security because of
address translation and built-in firewall. And no more crappy Speedtouch
around.

Hello Andrea

That's a thought. Presumably the ISP won't have an issue with me using a
router and not their suggested Speedtouch modem?

Of course won't.
