vista installation

every time i try to install RC1 i get the message that vista cannot determine
if the computer is compatable. installation will discontinue. i ran the
compatability program a few times and it says my computer is fine. any idea
why i am getting this message?

Hi Hal,

Are you doing a Clean install of Windows Vista? If not, try the Clean
install method. Works fine for me.
