I can't print from IE7 using Vista Home Premium. I was able to print using
XPS doc writer. Now even XPS won't print to hardware. All other apps work
fine. Any helpful suggestions

Any error messages?

Nope. Just ignores the command. the XPS writer started again after normal
boot. When i click on print nothing happens. cursor doesn't change, just
ignores me.

I was looking in other forums and found that if you turn off 'Protected mode'
you can print. I tried it and it worked. I then created an icon on my
desktop to run IE as an administrator. whether or not this turns 'protected
mode' off I don't know. When I use the Admin Icon I can print and the mode
is off. When using the reg icon mode is on and I can't print. Maybe this is
a case of "works as designed".

Hi Just Plain Rick,

I read your posting..how do you turn off "protected mode"? I'd like to try
doing that
Please advice
