I have an ACER 9303WSMi and I need a patch for the built in webcam and one
for Windows Live Messenger, ACER were supposed to be sending me a link with
them but I'm waiting and waiting ;-) It has Vista home premium installedI
cant seem to find anywhere on the net
with them and my camera or windows live messenger will run without them ,
can anybody in the group please tell me where they can be found TIA

Download and install eData Security patch:

Download and reinstall the web cam driver:

Take a look at the properties of the driver you originally have got, to find
out which make is the right one to install.
it was the Windows Live Messenger Patch I couldnt find till you kindly
found it for me thank again, I dont know why mic rosoft havent rectified
these problems because I've had my version and PC sinc 2007 July.

This conflict was caused by Acer's software, so I think the anger is better
directed towards them. ;-)

You make a good point I was just thinking if MSN Messenger was their
product;-) what I posted again for was in the properties of the driver I
originally had I cant really tell , what tab am I looking at please.

First, check out Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Functions.

If you can not see it in the list of installed programs, check out Control
Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager > Right-click web cam device
Properties > General or Driver tab. You may have to run as administrator.

It may also be printed on a sticker on the computer or in the manual. If you
can not find out, just try one of them. You should receive an error message
from the installer in case you have picked the wrong one.
