Vista Home premium made DVD not working on XP

I have made DVD's of jpeg picture files to give to people, but they can't get
them to work on computers using non Vista systems. An error message " files
corrupted" appears.
 
Have not tried that yet. I re-formatted same dvd in my Vista machine, then my
XP machine found the files, but was blank on Vista!! The plot thickens!
