Vista Home Premium and Dual Processors...

i tried to do some research on this before i bought vista and
basically didn't find anything... so perhaps on an argument based from
silence, i assumed my dual processors would work under vista home
premium.
however, i just ran the rate and improve your computers performance
under the performance information and tools and i only see one
processor....

now i'm wondering if home premium can even see the second processor...

Hi, rtdavide.

In Task Manager, click View | CPU History, and switch from One Graph, All
CPUs to One Graph Per CPU.

Is that what you were looking for?

i only have the one graph per CPU option and it is only showing one
graph...
i'm assuming that Home Premium is NOT seeing my other CPU.
I don't know if it is incapable of it, but it isn't seeing it right
now.

i guess what i'm trying to find out is: Is vista home premium capable
of utilizing dual processors?

I had to buy XP professional in order to have it use both CPU's
because XP home wouldn't do it.
but in my searches before i bought vista, the question of dual CPU's
didn't come up, and the upgrade utility i used recommended home
premium.

i would have thought that it should have recognized the 2 CPU's and
recommended another version of Vista if home premium was incapable of
utilizing the second processor

a little more searching and i think i found my unfortunate answer...
home premium doesn't seem to support the second processor. dual CORE
processors yes, but not dual processors.
