I have activated my Vista home basic.
When I reinstalled the same after formating my hard disk ,again it is needed
to be activated ,but this time I am not getting any installation ID
The options I am geting are
1.Buy new product key
2.enter different product key
3.contact hcl infosystems for solution

I am not getting any inernet or telephonic option to activate as last time.
when I enter the product key that came with the pack it is showing Invalid

How can I activate windows now

You can reset your Windows Vista activation by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4

2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Select your Country.

4. Follow the instructions for phone activation.

5. Once completed, restart your computer.

Ain't activation grand? Tired of this crap? Get yourself a real
operating system like Ubuntu. It's free, comes with access to over
25,000 free programs and needs no activation, becoming "genuine" or any
of that crap. Check it out a www.ubuntu.com

Ah, the joys of activating and the subsequent hoops one must jump
through that may or may not work. I'm so glad I don't have to put up
with this sh¡t anymore.

And it's FREE (because nobody would pay 2 cents for it)

I already said it's free. The fact that you wouldn't pay for it means
absolutely nothing, you being the "nobody".

No, go watch your hard drive spin while Vista does its "indexing" and
then why don't you change some hardware so you, too, can have the joy of
reactivating your copy of Vista.

the way vista is dependent on so much typing
shows how much they don't care about the disabled who
might have much problem with typing (compared to using the mouse)

A grand example is the stupid horrendous start menu ...
many here say they like typing instead of go through the menu...

I have to say.. ok they might have fingers to type. Others do not

ok there is the classic start menu.. but some don't even know how to change
that or even that it exists...

Stupid ignorant vista designers and their follower vistaboys

hey ignorant vista user of the 4th kind.... (to understand what I mean you
have to read a prior post of mine)

if you could instantly remove LINUX from the world you wouldnt even be
here..

there would be no internet!

Looks like the Linux trolls are all fired up today.
The best they can do is try to throw around insults.
Just a bunch of wild monkeys in this newsgroup.

I am not familiar with option 3 but I do find them on the internet.

What does hcl infosystems have to do with your computer?
That is not Microsoft.
Perhaps you need to contact the OEM.
