getting intermittent freezes on vista. Mouse moves but you can;t select
anything. After ALT-TAb or CRTL-ALT-DEL then you can't even move the mouse.

system is quite new desktop - newly installed belkin usb adaptor F5D7050.
seems to have started when i installed it but it has up to date drivers.
windows update is on and working

Would you post systyem specs re RAM and Graphics

Have you updated the Graphics Driver?

Also, the obvious thing to do is disconnect the USB Adaptor for a day, and
see if the problem persists or not!

My computer installed updates on 12/18/07, and has the same problem now. I
wonder if the updates (SP1 to Office, etc.) created the problem.

specs below: graphics cards is NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT. interestingly a new
driver came on windows update on the 16th. i can't promise that was then the
problems started - machine mainly used by my children. anyone seeing problems
