i have a japanese laptop with vista basic. i want to put an english premium
on it. i know i can jus do a clean load to get rid of the japanese version
but if i use an english version will i still be able to use the japanese
keyboard? like will all the keys work the same such as the key for switching
between ime input languages or will i have problems with it. Japanese
keyboards are different from english ones and i dont want to have keys that
are labeled wrong. ie the 2 on a japanese keyboard is also the (") not the @.
that is a key all by itself.

Yes, you will be able to change the inputer language for your keyboard in
Vista Home Premium, open Control Panel > Regional and Language Options on
the Keyboards and Languages
tab.
