Vista doesnt respond

i have just installed vista home prem, and now when i open apps like IE7 or
normal windows, they just stop responding, then the whole screen stop
responding, what should i do

Have you checked to ensure the firewall is configured to allow ICMP
connections?

More than likely, it's because he's been actually challenged to help a Vista
user with Vista. Of course, that's way beyond what he's capable of doing.
But, we'll see. I wait with baited breathe for Frank to actually come up
with a solution that involves more than a <snort> and a <smirk>.

ok then after all that my computer still crashes, so does any one have any
advice, the problem is that it just stop responding, alot, i have just build
this computer like man others and i thort that i would try vista but it just

Being as no one else will help you, here are some suggestions.

First, go into Safe Mode so you can get something done. To get into Safe
Mode, hit F8 right after the beep when booting up.

Once in Safe mode, do a search for .temp and .tmp. Nuke everything in
those folders.

Second, Windows Key+R and run MSCONFIG. Look under the start up tab and
remove anything you don't want running at boot up. If you don't know
what something is, leave it alone.

Reboot into Normal Mode and download Crap Cleaner from www.ccleaner.com
and run the clean up.

If that doesn't help, let me know.
