Vista Desktop Too Large for my LCD TV

My problem is I cannot get the Vista desktop to fit onto my LCD TV screen,
its just too large for the display area. I can see half of the Start button
and on any Windows that are made full screen the top right X is not visible.
I am running latest Vista with all patches up to 1 Aug 06, I have a Radeon
X300/X550 graphic card also with latest Nvidia drivers (7.7.9.0) connected
via HDMI to my Panasonic 32" LCD TV. Any suggestions please, is it my card
that needs changing or is something else wrong with my set up. I can email
an image showing the problem if necessary.

I assume you mean that you have the latest ATI Vista drivers for your ATI
graphics card.
You need to apply Overscan compensation with the ATI Catalyst driver or
CCC..

Make sure your output "size" matches what the LCD TV screen "size" is.
(1220x800 etc...)

Why are you using an Nvidia driver for an ATI Radon video card?

I don't think he is since it would not work at all. I think he is referring
to the release level of the NVIDIA DVD Decoder that he has running instead
of the built into Vista DVD Decoder.

Yes solved my problem thanks, I got the latest ATI (not NVIDIA) drivers and
was able to set screen size to 1152 x 864, perfect fit, thanks.
