Vista Complete PC Backup Image Folder?

Just did a Complete PC Backup last night, worked pretty cool. Just a
question because I'm curious about it. I'm sure all is well. I noticed
afterwards that the backup on my external hard drive was in a folder that
Explorer says is empty? Drive properties pie chart shows it taking up space.
I'm assuming is just a virtual disk thing. Double-checking because I don't
want to get to the point of having to do a full PC restore in an emergency
and have it tell me the backup folder is empty when I select the backup
image.

Never mind. I was able to explore the folder after following administrator
permission prompts, saw my image backup there and all is well.

Some of the space will probably be taken by shadow copies as well. This a
good pointer on this matter:
