Hi guys,
some advice please, have vista installed with all the updates, just recently
everytime I boot my computer up, it does the post phase, then it just stays
on a blank screen. I have to switch it off and then back on again, and it
boots up ok.
How can I get it to boot straight up again, it is driving me nuts. Thanks
guys for your help
Thankns and Regards

Hi,

You'll probably need a technician. What you describe is symptomatic of
failing or faulty hardware. It occurs because a "cold" component is faulty,
possibly from a cracked solder line or bad capacitor. Once "warm" by the
application of current, it functions correctly when rebooted. It won't get
better, it will eventually fail completely. If the system is under warranty,
contact the manufacturer for assistance. Backup data now as a precaution.
