Vista - Bluetooth USB adapter - No icon in Control Panel to setup device

Hi

I have installed the drivers for my BlueTooth dongle in vista and the device
is fine in device manager.

However, how do I use the thing?

XP used to have an icon Bluetooth places on desktop or something.

I read online that vista should have an icon in the control panel but i
cannot see any utility to use my bluetooth device.

I have checked in sounds+devices as advised online and also classic view of
control panel.

thanks

Have you tried entering "bthprops.cpl" in the run box? (without ")

Thats another way to get into the bluetooth control panel.

Unfortunately you may be having the same problem I have. I have a Dlink
DBT-122 and it is seen in System Properties but not under the Bluetooth icon
under control panel. Vista doesn't work with a lot of Bluetooth dongles.

One thing you can do though is to download the Windows Mobile Device Centre
from Microsoft but make sure Activesync is NOT installed before you install
the device centre.
