Vista, bluetooth ('Bluesoleil') & Nokia 2630

I bought a USB Bluetooth device so that I could link my Nokia 2630
phone and my Toshiba Equiuum laptop (running Vista). The software
with the bluetooth dongle is a pain, over-elaborate and it seems
impossible to stop it starting upon startup, even after having removed
it within Defender. I've tried uninstalling the BlueSoleil software
but it seems the Windows drivers for bluetooth aren't adequate. Is
there a way round this? I had hoped another set of drivers would be
available or that this (Mikomi) bluetooth dongle could use good Vista
drivers from another brand.

Also once Bluesoleil is installed the FN and arrow keys method of
changing laptop volume stops working - somehow the Bluetooth audio
drivers interfere. I have the Nokia software running but without the
Bluesoleil software it's not quite working - Contacts disappear after
initially loading, and videos and mp3s won't transfer.

I'm doubting the unit is faulty - it does what it's meant to with the
Bluesoleil software but that software is is too much.

Thanks for any input.

See http://europe.nokia.com/A4678152 . You need BlueSoleil 5.0.5 and this is
probably not the version supplied with your dongle.

Google for "bluesoleil 5.0.5" and download and install from the most
convenient source. The latest build is 5.0.5.178. You will probably need to
purchase the upgrade and apply a key when you have purchased the upgrade.
