Does any one know how to wake up vista when it goes to sleep? XP wakes up
when I move the mouse, not so with vista. I think its more of Display goes
to sleep? I change all the settings I can think of to no avail. - John

My PC awakens here when ESC or the spacebar are pressed.

Recovering from sleep or hibernation requires a push of the power button on
my machine.

For every difficult and complicated question there is an answer
that is simple, easily understood, and wrong.

Look in Device Manager/Properties for your mouse and keyboard. Under the
power management tab check "allow this device to wake the computer".

I don't see those options in Vista Ultimate x64.

If the options are not there, then your mouse and keyboard may not have the
ability to 'wake' the computer. This is how it was in XP Pro. I had a
keyboard and mouse that didn't have the ability to wake the computer so the
power management tab never existed.

However, with Vista Ultimate 64 both of these devices now have the ability
to wake the computer from Sleep and the tab is there.
