Vista and XP ... again!

Hi

My Vista Home Premium PC can view/access files on my wife's XP Pro machine.

She can "see" my PC's shared drive in the correctly named Workgroup, but
when she tries to open anything on it she gets a ||Rods is not accessible,
yo umight not have the permissions to use the netwrok resource.

How do I set a permission for her on my PC? Strangely, this only happened
after the last Windows Update. Prior to that she could see and use my drives
and my printer.

Reset the permission by opening the sharing and security tabs. Or create the same username in both computers. This link may help,

I followed that link but it was to no avail.

Specifically when I try to add users to the shared folder the xp-laptop
doesn't show up in the Locations to add users from. I even have the same user
name and passwords on the computers. And weirdly enough I can browse and
access the Laptop from the xp rig despite the laptop not showing up under
locations when I try to share users from the laptop.
