Vista and Outlook 2003

Hello Everyone,
I have a new notebook running Vista Ultimate. It has a 160G T7200 HD, 2G
RAM. It is a Dell Inspiron 6400 that I loaded with eveything but upgrading
the sound card. My Outlook 2003 is excruciatingly slow. Any one experiencing
this... Know why and how to fix. Will an upgrade to Office 07 fix? I don't
mind spending the money IF it will speed thing up. I can't even type emails
with out a several second delay between each character!

I am running Vista HomePremum with Outllok 2003 with no probs. All of Office
2003 is compatible with vista.
