Vista and folder settings

With XP, you could set folder settings and next time you went back to the
folder you would have the same settings - ie same columns, same sort order
etc.

Vista forgets the settings so you have to reset them every time you go back
to the folder. Why is this? Is this a deliberate decision by microsoft?

Mine works just like XP. Do you have "Remember Folder settings" checked
"ON" under Folder Settings?
