vista admin type disabled

I set up my user as an Administrator on my Vista (Beta) machine. I
installed VS 2005, SQL 2005 and proceeded to convert one of my old
websites to .NET 2.0. When I tried to run my site as a local IIS
website - it told me I was not an administrator. So I launched Users
through the control panel and tried to change it from Standard user to
Administrator (some how it defaulted to standard even though I picked
admin when I set up the account) - the button grays out and does not
let me change the account type. so ok - I launched the mmc. When I
try to add the snap in for Local users and groups - the mmc crashes.
I cant work on my website properly unless I launch it as an Admin - so
how do I solve this?
