Viruses and Hack Tools on Windows XP

Jim

Norton Internet Security 2005 (NIS) has found the following flock of
viruses and hack tools on my PC (Windows XP):

deycheck.exe - Hacktool.Hidewindow (Hack tool)
scansgl.exe - Hacktool.SQLck (Hack tool)
IpcScan.exe - Hacktool (Virus)
lock.bat - BAT.Trojan (Virus)
nero.exe - IRC.Backdoor.Trojan (Virus)
protect.bat - BAT.Trojan (Virus)

I have tried unsuccessfully to remove them with NIS, Ad-Aware SE
Personal and Spy Sweeper. All three of these have just had their
definitions updated.

Are any of the above destructive or just nuisances?

Thanks in advance for your help in getting rid of these pests.

Try reposting this in microsoft.public.security.homeusers for the most
expert help. You might also crosspost a single message to that group, and
microsoft.public.security.virus.
