Virus?

Somehow I am forced into a search page when I open ie6.
I have reset the homepage to default, but the next time I
open it, it resets to this mystery search page. It shows
up as "Blank" in my address window. Has anyone had or
solved this prob.?

I have the same thing. It's called CoolWeb - the
about:blank variation and apparently it's very hard to
eliminate. I've downloaded the well known spyware
control packages - spybot, adaware, spy sweeper, and they
do nothing. Norton doesn't even see it. I was looking
for some guidance here, but no luck so far.

CWShreader helps a lot. Between that, HijackThis, SpyBot, and some
instructions from someone, I got rid of it.
Search for those things, plus "c:\Searchpage.html".
