Help !!! please
Norton 2005 AV has detected w32.weird twice on comp.
I have looked at the norton webpage for removal. It asks to get a
clean dos startup disk which i did. I put it in floppy and restarted
computer. It then came up with an A:> prompt , the website says to
type in the following
c:
cd windows
dir *.exe /a:h

when i type in the first , c: after the A:> prompt it says that it does
not recognise or something similar , i cannot get any further ,
please please help

This is the expected response if using NTFS. You need too boot to the
recovery console and pick up the removal instructions at "dir *.exe /a:h"
except use the command dir *.exe to list all EXE files. Also, in step 4,
the Attrib command is backwards, the correct syntax is:
attrib -h <filename>
