virus scans

I am having a problem with e-mail scanning with Trend and
Norton, it will not let me access my e-mails, I keep
getting an error message but if I uninstall the software
I can get my e-mails.

I run Norton 2003 in XP Pro SP1, on several computers, without any problems,
even with the email scanning turned on. If it is causing problems, try turning
off the email scanning and see if that helps.

Nonsense. I've run Norton anti-virus on both computers here since
the day XP was released with zero problems. I've also installed
it on several other computers running XP, all with zero problems.

I second this! Norton A/V lives quite well on my two XP Pro PCs.

I did notice that Norton A/V older than 2003 can mix up XP.

I run 2003 now, but until a couple of months ago, I ran NAV 2002.
I never had any problems with either.

I believe versions older than *2002* are not compatible with XP.

The only problem I've had with it I bought a downloaded copy and lost my
hard drive. Now I can't contact anyone there to get another copy and my 6
months of paid for upgrades. I've sent email to no avail.
