Virus Removal

Hi, I have McAfee Virus Protection on my Dell Computer. Every time i click on
the internet explorer icon, my virus protection brings up a pop-up that says
there's a virus on my computer (either StartPage-DU!htm or
Exploit-MhtRedir.gen)
I have scanned my computer so many times and on one of those ocassions the
startpage one was detected and i deleted it(supposedly) but it still pops up
on my screen. Sometimes while i'm on the internet, the page just goes blank
and the web address say blank or somthing like that. Can someone help my
please?

There are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type of discussion.

microsoft.public.scripting.virus.discussion
microsoft.public.security.virus
alt.comp.virus
alt.comp.anti-virus

Chances are that you were viewing a web page that was trying an exploit. McAfee blocked it
and no Trojan (that exploit is not a virus) was installed on the system.
