Virus on Desktop

Everytime i start windows 5 icons that look like
advertisements always appear on my desktop. I delete them
an clear them from my recycle bin and they go away but
the next time i start windows they re appear. Norton
Virus scan doesnt find any type of virus when i run a
scan so i dont know please help.

The presence of anti-virus software is useless unless you regularly update
it. Go here

http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html

Get the latest virus defenition files and then scan again. Better yet try
the online scan engine
