virus / message

Hi:

I got an email message from someone I don't know telling
me that this file is a virus and to delete it.

jdbgmgr.exe

It looks like a legitimate MS file. Is someone just
trying to get me to trash my own machine or is the
warning valid ?

thanks

allen

Allen,
Don't worry about it,it's an age-old hoax.
What worries me more is that you actually open
unsolicited mail/spam.Be careful!

** IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE**

You may start receiving extra SPAM now that you posted your email in
thousands of locations.
Microsoft does not send you email with attachments or links telling you that
you NEED to patch.
You should never open any attachment without virus protection and even then,
only those you expected from people who told you they were sending it.
