Virus in Gamehouse software???

I downloaded 'Incredible Ink' direct from gamehouse.com, a very reputable
site. My virus scanner (F-Secure 5.54) would not let me install it because
it said there was a Type_Win32 virus in the game software. I cannot believe
Gamehouse would put a virus in one of their games. What is going on???

I always disable my antivirus during software installs, but I also always
make sure that I'm not installing something malicious before I do so. If
the file in question is 2MB or smaller, submit it here for a scan by
multiple AV products: http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html It's
*possible* that your F-Secure AV was giving you a false positive, but I
say that without knowing anything about "Gamehouse" or the game in
question.

Ian.

Follow Ian's suggestion and go to Virus Total and test the file that F-Secure flagged.
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

Then you will know if it is a False Positive declaration. They do happen.

Could be a false positive, try some other scanners to find out.
I cannot believe Gamehouse would put a virus in one of their games.

The thing about viruses is that they put "themselves" in programs such as (but not limited to) games.
