Mike

I recently upgraded to Windows XP and have installed new
version of NAV 2004. Did a system scan and NAV reports it
found "Download.trojan" as part of the mstlsapi.exe. It
will not fix file. NAV reads the location is in
C:\undo\backup.cab but I cannot find it. Any
suggestions??? Thanks

Open a folder, go to tools, folder options. Click the view tab. Make sure
the radio button is on show hidden files and folders. Plus untick hide
protected operating system files. give that a go and see if you can find the
file. If you have problems in deleting it. Boot into safe mode and you
should be good to delete it. Once all is done you might want to reset them
back.

Hope that helps

Had same situation ayear ago. Nortons Virus Protection allows you to quarantine the item, promptes by Nortons (Bloodhound sniffs the trojans)to forward to Sysmantics for handling instructions. Then follow instructions. House Call is another free scan by Trend Micro, which is the premiere of all virus and trojan information. Trojan can be screened, quarantine and deleted without further to do. It is a good idea to have copy of your computer registry, tucked away in a safe place should you ever need to strip programs. Once trojan deleted, it is adisable to run another scan

Good luck!
