System Configuration Utility

When I go to START, RUN, and type msconfig, the
Configuration Utility Window appears, but only for 3-5
seconds and then disappears. I discovered this on 01/26
when I became aware that my Norton Anti-Virus 2004
Professional Software wasn't running. When I double-
clicked on the NAV icon, the window appeared, refreshed,
showed Auto-Protect: OFF and E-mail Scanning: ERROR.
Then the window disappeared. I went to the Symantec site
and did everything directed, which is when I discovered
that the Configuration Utility Window would not stay
opened. I have also started in SAFE MODE and NAV works
just fine. While in SAFE MODE I started NAV, ran a Live-
Update and Full System Scan....no viruses found. Just to
be safe (cause this happened on Monday the 26th).
Everything else works just fine on my computer, no other
problems....I'm just really nervous because NAV is not
running. Any thoughts?

George, check here. If Task Manager is behaving the same way it could be a
virus
