I have WinXP Pro on a Pentium4. I fell victim to a trojan virus after
clicking an EXE.(trewlew) Prevx seemed to detect and remove it but still
strange things happening! The desktop icons refresh regularly and prevx
indicates outgoing http requests.Other attempts to remove the virus appear
to be successful but it is still lurking or maskerading.
On startup several Office programs appear to be launched and terminated
(according to Prevx)
Occasionally Explorer.exe is making outgoing http requests.(According to
Prevx)Otherwise programs run OK but slower to launch. I did a Windows repair
and it is still there. I dont relish a fresh install. Any ideas for
diagnosing /repairing this problem?
