I have posted before what i need to do is tranfer a large
file of about 355 MB to another system over the net.
Someone told me to use Virtual Private Networking is
there any sort of free trial to do this because it will
be a one time tranfer.

you can also use a free trial ftp program to transfer
files over the internet do a serch on the net for a ftp
program.that is the best advice i can give you.

Would it not be easier to copy to a cd and then mail it?.. I trust that you
are not using a dialup connection.. lol

You could try installing the Personal Web Server, built in with Windows.
Allow the remote site to connect and download. You can also share the
folder with the file in it and get the remote site to connect as you would
from a LAN.
