While scanning pictures into a photo. program received the following
message, "Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the
size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process memory requests
for some applications may be denied".
Windows was just trying to increase your paging file (virtual ram) to
accommidate what ever you have running for faster access.
What is this? Am I out of memory? I started deleting many things to save
space. Is this the same thing as space left on computer? What is Ram,
memory hard drive space? Do I need to buy more memory? My computer is only
6 months old. Need help. Thanks.
Ram is random-access memory, random access memory, random memory, RAM,
read/write memory -- (the most common computer memory which can be used by
programs to perform necessary tasks while the computer is on; an integrated
circuit memory chip allows information to be stored or accessed in any order
and all storage locations are equally accessible)
.. the more ram the better for your application to load and perform faster.
