Virtual memory too low

Ever since downloading service pack2 for windows professional I keep on
receiving messages from my IBM laptop that "virtual memory minimum is too
low." I reset the minimum from 382 MB to 390 MB but about 30 minutes later
recieved the same message. Any thoughts as to what I should do next?

Let Windows manage the virtual memory size.

The reader should exercise normal caution and backup the Registry and
data files regularly, and especially before making any changes to their
