Virtual memory too large how reduce it?

Hi,

Problem:

My virtual memory is too large for the partition where is installed Vista 32
Ultimate.
About 11 GB are used by Vista and others programs the rest is used by
Virtual memory
I want reduce it and give a right size for 4 GB of RAM.
I know that windows can't work without virtual memory and work only with ram
memory.

Questions:

I have 2 hard disks 160GB and 230 GB
First hd 160GB as 2 partitions: C:\ Vista 32 Ultimate used 20GB the rest D:\
is a partition for programs

Second hd is 230GB and has single partition F:\

I want move the virtual memory from C:\ (here now I have little space
available 1,5GB) to these partitions D:\ and F:\ is dangerous?
Is necessary that paging file is on Vista partition?
I don't want move the paging file from Vista partition to another partition
because in the past I've done this operation on the paging file and then the
OS don't work and is blocked.

To do this operation of moving paging file is necessary disable UAC?

Many thanks

Your Vista partition is way too small. You need to increase the size of the
partition, and you can do this easily using Acronis Disk Director.

Allow at least 60gb for Vista and whatever programs you install over and
above the operating system..

The pagefile should be left in the Vista partition, OR you can split the
pagefile between C and F. Do NOT put the page file on D.

I have 4GB of ram effective working is 3,5GB and I want use this memory.
Windows really don't work without virtual memory?

Can I use the partitions work utility of Vista to move the partitions or

Vista needs some virtual memory and only allocates what it wants to use.
Best let Windows manage it. Follow Mike's advice or use BootItNG, both are
available as trials.
