I am working on a Windows XP system that was loaded with
lots of Ad Ware and Spyware. I booted to safe mode, ran
removal tools and rebooted. Since then I have been
unable to log in to any account on Win XP in any mode,
including Safe Mode. When it says Loading Personal
Settings, I get a Virtual Memory message that the system
is low on virtual memory and that some applications may
not run. I have booted from XP CD and run an install
repair and still cannot logon. HELP!

Since I don't know what removal tools you used or exactly what you did,
I can't tell you how to undo the damage. At this point, your best bet
is to format the drive and clean install Windows. Install drivers and
programs from cd's, restore data from backups.

Good luck,

It is unlikely that anything you did with just Ad-aware and Spybot
caused your problems. Run and RAM test (www.memtest86.com) and if RAM
is good, a hard drive test with a diagnostic utility downloaded from
the drive mftr.'s website. If all hardware is good, format the drive
and start over.

Well, I ran full diagonostics on the hardware and memory
is fine. Here's the run down. My boss brings me his
laptop. it takes him 15 - 20 minutes to log in. The
system is bogged down with Adware and Spyware so I boot
into safe mode, load Ad-Aware 6.0 and Spybot 3.1. Remove
all the crap. Reboot normally after that. Then unable
to log in under any condition even in Safe Mode.

The errors are as follows. Your System is running low on
Virtual Memory. Windows is increasing the size of
Virtual Memory. Some requests from applications will be
ignored (well something like that)..

Then - I get a weird box with a circle and cross through
it but the box is small and you cant expand it. After
that get:

Parser Error: Value Creation Failed " at Line 422.

Any ideas?????

I may try as u suggested to swap out the memory. I can
use the memory from my laptop.
